Certified Garages

Based on the weather conditions in your area, your local building department may or may not require your structure to be certified. Certified garages and other structures are installed with extra corner braces, snow braces, anchors, and a stronger, thicker steel framing. When compared to non-certified buildings, Get Carports certified garages are stronger, more reliable, and longer lasting. For more information regarding our certifications and building styles, feel free to contact one of our representatives in the sales department today at (800) 691-5221.

Certified Metal Garage Benefits

Certified Metal Garage Benefits

Even if your local building department doesn’t require you to certify your structure, that doesn’t mean you can’t. Here at Get Carports, we actually recommend certifying your structure as it ensures the durability and longevity of the unit. There are several other benefits to certifying your garage, including the following:

  • Fully Customizable
  • Cost-Effective
  • Versatile
  • Adaptable
Features of Certified Garages

Features of Certified Garages

Certified steel garages and other certified buildings are designed with the same features as non-certified structures; however, due to certain building codes and requirements, they are built with additional framing pieces. A few of these framing pieces include the following:

  • Additional corner and snow braces
  • Thicker, stronger steel framing
  • Additional anchors
  • Stronger sheet metal

Certified vs. Non-Certified Garages

Certified structures, which share similarities with non-certified structures, are a far superior option when it comes to storage solutions. Not only do they include additional framing pieces for extra strength and protection, but they are built to last longer and withstand harsh weather conditions. They are also engineered to meet and exceed your local building codes and requirements. Non-certified buildings are still durable and reliable sources of shelter, they are simply installed in areas that do not typically experience high winds or heavy precipitation.

Available Roof Styles at Get Carports

As one of the most important aspects of a steel building, it’s important to know the advantages of each roof style before making a decision. There are three roofing systems offered here at Get Carports, including the regular style, A-frame horizontal style, and regular style.

  • Out of the three options offered here at Get Carports, the regular roof style is our most economical. Its horizontal paneling and signature curved edges make this a popular option for homeowners and farmers. But due to its simple framework, we recommend it for areas that only experience mild to moderate weather conditions.
  • Also known as a boxed-eave roof due to its design, the A-frame horizontal roofing system is also installed with horizontally aligned panels. However, due to its more complex design, it’s best suited for warmer areas that may receive some high winds, but very light precipitation.
  • Vertical roofs, which are the most popular roof design in the metal building industry, are also the most durable and reliable. Their vertical panels and additional framing pieces make this the best roofing system for areas that are prone to extreme weather conditions.
